Typography Book Project
My love for typography, book binding and selecting the right premium paper began well before the beginning of my graphic design career. I had always been fascinated by the feeling of raised text when you ran your finger across a book you were reading. Little did I know that it would lead me to letterpress, a printing process that dates back to mid-15th century.
I designed this book in college for a page layout class in late 2000. Over the years, it has seen some wear-and-tear, but it is still one of my favorite pieces. I pushed beyond the limits of computer-aided design and produced a book that was hand stitched and carefully assembled with a beautifully weighted crest paper.
