Look, Look, Looky, Lou – what I found. I scored a cute white wicker chair, white ceramic pitcher, Willow Tree “New Life” figurine (for my Sis, who’s probably reading this now, so Surprise!) and Valentine themed Scrapbook magazine all for less then $60. I definitely got the thriftin bug from visiting a couple of stores, so I decided to take a road trip to Hyde Park Antique district of Tampa. I invited my Mom to tag along. We had a fun day and I snapped some pictures of what we saw. You will quickly notice, my sudden obsession for turquoise (again). I’ve always loved turquoise, but now its virtually everywhere, so designing with it will be easy.
I must admit I miss the season changing or, err, ummm, fall especially… but, you have to admit it is nice when you are wearing a t-shirt outside at the end of January. The weather today was warm, with a high of 72 degrees, sunny, clear brilliant blue sky with fluffy white clouds. You know, the kind of clouds you wish you could crawl into and take a nap. A perfect back drop for some action shots of Sophia.
Anyone who has kids, grandkids, nieces, nephews and etc. has come across a few stained clothes. Usually Sophia creates her masterpieces with washable markers, but unfortunately for this purple dress, she did not. I used Shout® The #1 Stain Remover and a Colgate toothbrush with sonic power vibrations to get the stains out.
It was hard for our little one to grasp the concept of right and wrong. That’s why we came up with the Goodness Tree to promote and reinforce positive behavior. With each act of good behavior, we add a new leaf to the tree. Find out how we created it!
